Lib Dem welcomes Woking Town Centre regeneration

19 Sep 2012

Will Forster, the Liberal Democrat county councillor for Woking South, has welcomed proposals to next week's County Council Cabinet Meeting to regenerate Woking Town Centre.

Will Forster said: "These plans have cross-party support both at a borough and county level. They will provide much needed regeneration to Woking, creating jobs and making significant improvements to the town centre.

"I think bold action is needed to stimulate economic growth and create much needed jobs in Woking.

"We want to ensure that the right decisions are made on new locations for Woking's fire station and town centre market. The fire station should be accessible to the main road network and remain in a location close to the town centre.
