There are 13 Liberal Democrats out of a total of 80 County Councillors. The Council is controlled by the Conservative group. The Liberal Democrat group is the main opposition group on the Council.

Hazel Watson is group leader, Fiona White is deputy leader, Colin Taylor chairs the group and David Goodwin is group treasurer.
